Marisicilia Cup / Xifonio Cup

2025 Edition — June 7 and 8

The 17th Xifonio Cup (Saturday, June 7) and the 9th Marisicilia Cup (Sunday, June 8) enlivened the Xifonio Gulf of Augusta with dozens of offshore sailboats.

In the Regatta class of the Xifonio Cup, victory went to Tres Amie, owned by Leonildo Sichel, ahead of Magie (Vincenzo De Filippo) and Saint Mary (Roberto Gallo). The Marisicilia Cup was won by Ricomincio da tre, the First 34.7 owned by Antonino Miceli, winner of the windward-leeward race (two laps for about 5 miles) in the gulf. In the Cruising category, open to hulls without a measurement certificate, aNogama, owned by Umberto Midollo, took the lead. Among the special awards, the 17th Icob Trophy went to the crew of Tres Amie and the 6th Port System Authority Prize to Snoopy, sailed solo. The event concluded with the open day at the Terravecchia naval base.
