Marina Festival 2025: two days of faith and tradition

The 2025 edition was held in Brolo (Messina) on July 19 and 20, organized by the 'A Marina Association. Saturday, July 19, the day opened with the evocative re-emergence of the Christ of the Abyss; in the afternoon, at the pier, holy mass was followed by the traditional procession in the seaside district. In the evening, on the promenade, live music by the band XXL and games for children, with the closing entrusted to the comedy of the Palermo quartet I 4 gusti and a fireworks display over the sea.

Sunday, July 20, in the afternoon, the historic 'ntinna a mari (later postponed due to rough seas and safety reasons) and, at sunset, the moving sea procession that accompanied the Christ towards the rock, symbol of the community. The festival involved the parish, local businesses, and numerous volunteers.
