The 2025 patronal feast

The 2025 edition of the Maria SS. della Rocca Festival renewed the most heartfelt event of the summer in Casalnuovo Monterotaro (Foggia). The novena of preparation took place from August 6th to 14th in the Parish Church of SS. Pietro e Nicolò, where the statue of the Madonna and Child is kept during the summer season.

On August 15th, the day of Ferragosto, the community gathered for the solemn mass and the procession of the venerated effigy, carried on the shoulders of devotees along the streets of the historic center illuminated by lights. The civil festivities continued on August 16th with concerts and musical performances in Piazza Plebiscito, the accompaniment of musical bands, and, at midnight, the fireworks display in Largo Trieste, closing a festival that unites faith, tradition, and the return to the village of many emigrants.
