mareMMMa – The Nature of Wine

A record-breaking sixth edition

On March 10, 2025, the Granaio Lorenese of Spergolaia in Alberese (Municipality of Grosseto) hosted the sixth edition of mareMMMa – The Nature of Wine. A record day with 592 wines for tasting and 124 wineries: 390 labels of Maremma Toscana DOP from 76 companies, 123 wines of Morellino di Scansano from 28 producers, and a selection from Montecucco.

For the first time, producers were presented based on the location of their vineyards, grouped by municipality of origin. Between coastal Sangiovese, Vermentino, rosés, indigenous varieties like Ciliegiolo, Alicante, and Pugnitello, and Super Tuscan-style blends, over a thousand sommeliers, restaurateurs, wine merchants, and enthusiasts enlivened the tasting tables.
