The grand theatre season at the Teatro delle Muse in Ancona, featuring drama, dance, musicals, and comedy.
The Drama and Dance Season organised by Marche Teatro is the main event for the capital's theatre scene. It takes place at the Teatro delle Muse "Franco Corelli", the historic theatre overlooking the port of Ancona, on Via della Loggia, in the heart of the city. From autumn to spring, the programme accompanies the Marche audience on a journey through drama, dance, musicals, and comedy, alternating original productions and major guest performances.
The programme blends major repertoire titles with contemporary drama and auteur dance. Alongside subscription shows, the programme offers a substantial section of non-subscription events, including musicals, classical ballets, and productions aimed at a broad audience, from families to the most discerning enthusiasts. Each season features leading national and international artists, directors, and companies.
The organisation is managed by Marche Teatro, the Theatre of Relevant Cultural Interest that manages the Muse and produces national-scale performances. The season is sponsored by the Municipality of Ancona, the Ministry of Culture, and the Marche Region, confirming the central role that theatre plays in the cultural life of the city and the entire province of Ancona.
For those visiting the Marche during the winter season, an evening at the Muse is the best way to experience the cultural soul of Ancona, the regional capital overlooking the sea.
