The regional Pride of Marche for rights and the freedom to be yourself
Marche Pride is the regional event that annually brings together the LGBTQIA+ community of Marche and its supporters in a large, colourful parade. It is a travelling event: it changes city from edition to edition, visiting the region's main centres. After the Pesaro edition in 2025, it returns to Ancona, the capital of the Marche Region, on Saturday, June 6th, 2026.
The theme chosen for the Ancona edition is "Lotta Manifesta" (Manifest Struggle), an invitation to make the claims for rights, freedom, and self-determination visible and public. The organizers from the Comitato Pride Marche report a substantial increase in support requests from people experiencing discrimination since the last edition; therefore, the parade is conceived as a moment of celebration but also of concrete struggle.
The meeting point is the Monument to the Fallen at Passetto, overlooking the sea, starting in the afternoon. From here, the parade follows a flat and largely shaded route: Viale della Vittoria, Piazza Cavour, Corso and Piazza Stamira, ending in Piazza Pertini, where speeches by associations, spokespeople, and guests will take place. It is a symbolic crossing of the central streets of the 'dorico' capital, amidst floats, music, banners, and drag artists.
Among the guests for the 2026 edition are Priscilla, the "aunt of Pride" and host of Drag Race Italia, and Karma B, a drag queen duo that combines satire, music, and reflection in shows for television and theatre. Political speeches and entertainment moments will alternate on the stage in Piazza Pertini, followed by an evening party.
Marche Pride places great emphasis on accessibility and inclusion: all speeches are translated into Italian Sign Language (LIS), and a rest float is available for those who need it along the route. The event is organized by the Comitato Pride Marche, which brings together organizations such as Agedo Marche, Arcigay Agorร , Arcigay Comunitas Ancona, Gap Urbino, Teekanne, and Uaar Ancona, and is part of the national coordination Onda Pride. Participation in the parade is free and open to all.
Taking place in the capital of the Province of Ancona and the Marche Region, the 2026 edition gives the regional Pride a highly visible city setting, between the Passetto seafront and the historic centre's squares. It is the most important event of the year for the LGBTQIA+ community of Marche.
