Edition 2025 — Manfredonia Classica

The first edition of Manfredonia Classica, held from July 18 to 20, 2025, at the Siponto Archaeological Park, inaugurated the piano festival envisioned by Osvaldo Fatone as part of the third edition of Gargano State of Music. Three evenings with three nationally renowned pianists, set among the Paleochristian ruins of Siponto under the Gargano stars.

The first edition of Manfredonia Classica took place from July 18 to 20, 2025, in the Siponto Archaeological Park in Manfredonia (FG). Strongly supported by local pianist Osvaldo Fatone, the festival represented the third edition of the Gargano State of Music project, designed to showcase the talents of the Umberto Giordano Conservatory and build a bridge between the Gargano territory and contemporary musical excellence. The three evenings, starting at 9:00 PM, featured nationally renowned performers in an intense dialogue with the archaeology and landscape of the Gulf.

Friday 18 July

Giorgio Trione Bartoli — music by Robert Schumann, Sergei Prokofiev, and Franz Liszt.

Saturday 19 July

Leonardo Pierdomenico — music by Claude Debussy, Alexander Scriabin, and Fryderyk Chopin.

Sunday 20 July

Osvaldo Fatone — music by Alexander Scriabin, Nikolai Medtner, and Igor Stravinsky.

Highlights

The performance by artistic director Osvaldo Fatone on the final evening and the recitals by young talents Giorgio Trione Bartoli and Leonardo Pierdomenico.

Prices

Admission €5 (included in the Archaeological Park ticket); the first evening on July 18 was free of charge until capacity was reached. Concerts started at 9:00 PM, doors opened at 8:30 PM.
