Manciano Barrel Palio

The 2025 Manciano Barrel Palio was held from August 28 to 31, marking its 14th men's edition and 8th women's edition. On Thursday the 28th, the opening procession of the six districts crossed the town from Piazza della Pace to Piazza Garibaldi, accompanied by the G. Verdi Philharmonic. On Friday the 29th, the women's race took place, followed by the men's race on Saturday the 30th, with banners painted by Gigliola Manini and Bozena Krol-Legowska. Sunday the 31st featured the grand finale with the children's mini-palio, the awards ceremony, the "Gemma Detti" painted barrel competition on the theme of Autumn, the "Piero Rossi" Fairplay award, the lottery draw, and the closing DJ set. Guests included the twinned delegation from Gioia del Colle.
