About Mancalacqua Festival

In the Mancalacqua district, in the hamlet of Lugagnano di Sona, between late June and early July, the Mancalacqua Festival is held, a neighborhood festival dedicated to good food and conviviality. At Parco Germano Tortella, in via Volturno, food stalls and musical entertainment liven up three evenings, with Sunday also dedicated to a mass in honor of the patron saint Sant'Egidio. A festival born and raised under the motto "a neighborhood for the common good".

The Mancalacqua district festival

The Mancalacqua Festival is the food and wine festival of the district of the same name, in the hamlet of Lugagnano in the Municipality of Sona (province of Verona). It takes place at Parco Germano Tortella, in via Volturno, generally on the last weekend of June or the first of July, and is now an eagerly awaited event of the local summer.

Good food and evenings together

For three evenings, the park comes alive with a bar service, rich food stalls, and musical entertainment every evening. On Sunday morning, a mass is also celebrated in the park in honor of the patron saint Sant'Egidio, testifying to the link between the festival and the district's identity. It is a festival designed for families and residents, where people gather around food and music.

A neighborhood for the common good

Grown under the motto "a neighborhood for the common good", the festival is organized by the local Mancalacqua committee with the support of Pro Loco Sona and the collaboration of numerous local entities, including the Gruppo Alpini of Lugagnano and the AVIS section. It is a great example of how neighborhood festivals in the Veronese area can combine social life, tradition, and solidarity.
