Maktorion Carnival

The 2025 Maktorion Carnival celebrated the 36th edition of the Mazzarino Carnival, confirming the festival as one of the most cherished events in the Caltanissetta hinterland. In 2025, the event once again featured traditional parades of allegorical floats and masquerade groups, with dozens of participants, costumes, and choreography in a great mix of music and color.

The procession, which started from the Canalaro district, crossed the city's main street to reach Piazza Vittorio Veneto, which was enlivened by tastings of typical local products, dancing, music under the stars, and cabaret and entertainment shows, concluding with the awarding of the most successful floats and groups.
