Majo Festival 2025

In 2025, the Majo Festival returned to San Giovanni Lipioni, in the province of Chieti, following the usual spring calendar. On April 30th, the youth gathered cyclamens in the woods to set up the Majo flower-covered cross, while on May 1st, after the morning religious celebrations in the Chapel of Santa Liberata, the afternoon was dedicated to the procession with singers and musicians who, from door to door, sang well-wishing songs for every family in the village. A day marked by folklore, Abruzzese folk music, and typical flavors, which brought together the community and many visitors in the name of abundance and fertility.
