Edition 2025 — Maja Festival
The 2025 edition of the Festa della Maja took place on May 1st in Malborghetto, with the conscripts' procession from the sports field, arrival in the square, opening of food stalls, and the raising of the Maja tree in the afternoon, according to the ancient spring rite of Val Canale.
In 2025, the community of Malborghetto renewed the Maja rite: the conscripts led the morning procession and the raising of the Maypole in the village square, in a day of celebration with food stalls and a convivial atmosphere, a living expression of the border alpine traditions of Val Canale.
