Magic Night of Saint John

The first edition of the Magic Night of Saint John was held in Montorio al Vomano on June 23-24, 2025. The event, promoted by the Pro Loco of Montorio together with the Rifiuti Zero Abruzzo association, the Centro Wellness Autismo, and other local entities, with the support of the Municipality, opened the celebrations on June 23rd with a botanical walk along the riverbank and the gathering of ritual herbs, followed by the collective preparation of the Acqua di San Giovanni and the traditional propitiatory bouquets. On June 24th, the festival continued with the walk towards the San Giovanni hamlet and the friendship rituals of the Abruzzese folk tradition. The success of this first edition laid the foundations for the return of the event the following year.
