Maggio Sergnanese

The Maggio Sergnanese represents one of the most cherished traditions of Sergnano, in the Province of Cremona. For over a month, between April and May, the town's teams – representing bars, pubs, pizzerias, and associations – face off in a friendly but fierce competition, ranging from 5-a-side football to bowls, from chess to card games, from table tennis to tug-of-war. Organized by a committee of volunteers with the patronage of the Municipality, the event transforms spring evenings into opportunities for meeting and conviviality, making healthy local pride its distinctive feature and confirming itself as an identity-defining event for the entire Sergnano community.
