Maga Circe Marathon

5th edition — February 2, 2025

The 2025 edition of the Maga Circe Marathon was the year of national consecration: the Pontine race hosted the Italian Absolute and Master Marathon Championships, bringing approximately 2,500 athletes to the Sabaudia finish line across the three competitive distances (42.195 km, 28 km, and 10 km) and 500 participants to the family walk, with 21 nations represented.

The Italian men's title went to Lhoussaine Oukhrid in 2h16'58", ahead of Nadir Cavagna and Nicola Bonzi; the best overall time of the day went to Kenyan Nathan Kioko Mutuku in 2h14'45". Among the women, the Italian title went to Elisabetta Iavarone in 2h43'28", ahead of Sara Carnicelli and Federica Cernigliaro. An edition that confirmed the Maga Circe as one of the reference marathons in the Italian winter calendar, set against the backdrop of the Circeo National Park.
