MAF - Marradi Art Festival

MAF 2025 - The first edition

The first edition of the MAF - Marradi Art Festival was held on Sunday, August 31, 2025, choosing music as its main theme in tribute to the Marradi-born pianist Giampaolo "Pape" Gurioli. Four musical stations animated the historic center, with a marquee set up in Piazza Scalelle to provide shelter from bad weather.

The day opened in the morning with three bands roaming the town streets; at noon, the Casa della Musica named after Gurioli was inaugurated. In the afternoon, at 4:00 PM, the lifetime achievement award was presented to Enrico Maria Papes; at 5:00 PM, the Modena City Ramblers concert took place at the Covered Market. In the evening, performances by Luca Bonucci and Daniela Peroni, the talk "Pape Gurioli from the Apennines," and the closing concert by Paolo Vallesi in Piazza Scalelle. Admission was free.
