Edition 2025 — Madonnina di Fatima
The 2025 edition of the Madonnina di Fatima Festival was held in July in Floridia, in the province of Syracuse, under the guidance of the San Francesco parish. The program included a three-day prayer triduum, holy masses, and the traditional procession of the statue through the streets of the district.
The festivities were marked by an extraordinary episode: a fire that broke out at an industrial plant in the municipal territory released a column of smoke which, pushed by the winds towards Floridia, made the air unbreathable in some areas. As a precaution, the mayor and the organizers decided to postpone part of the scheduled celebrations, prioritizing the protection of citizens' health, particularly that of the most vulnerable individuals.
