Edition 2025 — Madonnina del Mare

In 2025, the Madonnina del Mare Celebrations took place on the last Sunday of May in Peschici. As per tradition, the statue of the Madonna was carried in a procession from the historic center to the harbor and then embarked for the sea procession among the Gargano bays, accompanied by local fishing boats. The day concluded with fireworks over the sea and the inevitable hot fritters offered to the community.

2025 Edition

The 2025 edition of the Madonnina del Mare festival renewed one of the most cherished rites of the Gargano maritime community in Peschici. The procession carried the statue from the Church of Sant'Elia Profeta to the harbor, where, after Mass, the characteristic sea procession began: the flotilla of boats, ships, and dinghies of the local fleet accompanied the Madonna along the bays of the coastline. At nightfall, fireworks over the sea and the distribution of traditional fritters closed a day of faith and popular celebration, confirming the event as the symbolic start of summer in Peschici.
