Edition 2025 — Madonna di Mellitto

The 2025 edition took place on July 26 and 27 in Grumo Appula. On Saturday evening, after the solemn mass, the statue of the Madonna di Mellitto crossed the town in a procession together with the Parade of Flower-Decorated Floats, adorned with thousands of handmade paper flowers. On Sunday morning, with the 6:00 AM mass and the return procession to the sanctuary, one of the most cherished events of the Grumo summer concluded.

Madonna di Mellitto Festival 2025

The 2025 festival was celebrated on the weekend of July 26 and 27 in Grumo Appula, in the province of Bari. Preceded by the traditional pilgrimage on foot to the Mellitto sanctuary, the edition renewed the age-old rites.

On Saturday, July 26, in the evening, the solemn procession took place with the statue of the Madonna carried on shoulders, accompanied by the spectacular Parade of Flower-Decorated Floats along the town streets. On Sunday, July 27, after the morning mass, the statue was carried back in procession toward the rural church of Mellitto, with the traditional distribution of blessed panelle.
