Madonna di Leuca Spring Festival

In the spring of 2025, the community of Santa Maria di Leuca, a village in Castrignano del Capo (province of Lecce), renewed the traditional festival of the Madonna di Leuca. The celebrations took place in the Basilica Sanctuary of Santa Maria De Finibus Terrae, with Holy Masses and a procession in honor of the Virgin de Finibus Terrae. The spring recurrence, linked to the memory of the 365 AD miracle, confirmed the strong bond of devotion between lower Salento and the Cape Sanctuary, a centuries-old destination for pilgrimages to the edge of Puglia.
