The 2025 Festival

The 2025 edition of the Madonna di Cotrino Festival took place in Latiano from May 4 to 6, preceded by Eucharistic adoration at the Mother Church.

Saturday, May 4: The 7:00 PM Holy Mass at the Mother Church opened the festivities, followed by the pilgrimage procession with the statue of the Virgin towards the Sanctuary of Cotrino, with Eucharistic celebration and an all-night Marian vigil.

Sunday, May 5: Holy Masses at the sanctuary continued until 5:30 PM, when the procession brought the image back to Latiano; in the evening, at 9:00 PM in Piazza Umberto I, the musical show by the Orchestra Mancina was held. In the morning, the square hosted a blood drive organized by the local Avis branch.

Monday, May 6, the solemn day: The Città di Manduria Grand Concert Band, conducted by Maestro Antonio Errico Agnello, performed from 9:00 AM; at 11:00 AM at the Mother Church, the Solemn Pontifical Mass was presided over by H.E. Mons. Vincenzo Pisanello, Bishop of Oria. After the 6:00 PM celebration, the procession traveled through the city streets and, upon its return around 11:00 PM, the sky was illuminated by fireworks provided by the Truppa company of Latiano.
