Madonna delle Grazie Festival

The 2025 festivities

From September 15 to 28, 2025, Grotte celebrated its Madonna delle Grazie Festival with a structured program. Sunday, September 21, the day opened at 9:00 AM with the 1st Stracittadina of the Madonna delle Grazie, a non-competitive footrace and walk starting from Bar Puglisi. In the evening, at 9:30 PM, a live concert by Kosatosta took place in Piazza Umberto I, a historic Agrigento band with extensive experience.

The conclusion on September 28

The celebrations concluded on Sunday, September 28: at 6:30 PM, the solemn Holy Mass in the Madonna del Carmelo parish church, followed at 7:30 PM by the "aux flambeaux" procession (candlelight procession) to the Madonna delle Grazie church, entirely dedicated to prayers for peace, with a final blessing at the small church.

• 09:00 — 1st Stracittadina of the Madonna delle Grazie: non-competitive footrace and walk, starting from Bar Puglisi (over 8 km route)
• Outdoor Eucharistic celebration at the Madonna delle Grazie church, presided over by Vicar General Father Giuseppe Cumbo, followed by the procession
• 21:30 — Live concert by Kosatosta in Piazza Umberto I

• 18:30 — Solemn Holy Mass in the Madonna del Carmelo parish church
• 19:30 — "Aux flambeaux" procession (candlelight procession) from the Madonna del Carmelo church to the Madonna delle Grazie church, dedicated to prayers for peace
• Final blessing at the Madonna delle Grazie church
