The 2025 edition in Ari

The celebrations in honor of the Madonna delle Grazie and Santa Filomena took place in Ari, in the province of Chieti, during the weekend of the third Sunday of September 2025. As per tradition, the celebrations spanned three days: the Saturday vigil, the solemn Sunday, and the Monday dedicated to Santa Filomena.

The religious program included the closing of the novena, Holy Masses, and solemn processions with the venerated statue of the Madonna through the streets of the historic center. The popular side confirmed the most beloved rites: the porchetta fair and arrosticini, music and dancing in the square on Saturday evening, and traditional fireworks. On Monday, the singing of pilgrims who arrived on foot from Giuliano Teatino and the young people in traditional costumes with copper basins on their heads were highlights, serving as a living testament to the identity of this Abruzzo village.
