Madonna della Serra Feast and Fair

The 2025 edition of the Madonna della Serra Feast and Fair took place in Giuggianello, in the province of Lecce, on May 29 and 30. The festival renewed the ancient popular devotion linked to the chapel of Madonna della Serra, which stands among ancient olive trees along the road to Minervino di Lecce.

The heart of the event was the procession with the statue of the Virgin through the streets of the village, accompanied by a band and the chants of the faithful. The evenings featured alternating live concerts and musical performances under the illuminations that lit up the village center. The traditional fair was also present, with stalls selling textiles, terracotta, artisanal products, and local specialties, serving as a meeting point for the inhabitants of Giuggianello and neighboring towns in lower Salento.
