Edition 2025 — Madonna della Neve Historical Pageant
2025 Edition: the 48th re-enactment
From August 3 to 5, 2025, Copertino hosted the 48th edition of the Madonna della Neve Historical Pageant. The program opened on August 3rd with the Mass in the Basilica Sancta Maria ad Nives and the Palio della Madonna della Neve in the historic center, continuing on August 4th with races, archery on the church square, and tests of strength in the squares between the districts of Cittadella, Casole, Mollone, Cigliano, and Cambrò.
The highlight arrived on August 5th with the grand historical pageant departing from the Angevin Castle: over 150 figures in medieval costume, flag-wavers, archers, musicians, street performers, and horses paraded along the streets of Copertino, confirming the event as one of the defining appointments of the Salento summer in Puglia.
