Madonna della Mercede Festival

The 2025 edition of the Madonna della Mercede Festival confirmed the deep devotion of the Sperlinga community in the heart of the Enna province. As per tradition, on the eve of the event, the statue of the Virgin was moved from the church at the foot of the castle to the Mother Church of San Giovanni Battista, along the road adorned with illuminated arches.

For several days, the statue remained in the Mother Church, visited by the faithful of Sperlinga and those who returned to the village for the occasion. On Sunday, the solemn procession passed through the main streets of the village, accompanied by the marching band and devotees, concluding with a fireworks display and the return of the statue to its church below the castle.
