Edition 2025 — Madonna della Luce and San Rocco

From August 16 to 18, 2025, Scorrano celebrated the Madonna della Luce and San Rocco Festival, featuring religious rites, an evening procession, and a rich civil program in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele. The town's famous light displays, a Salento folk music concert, a vintage car and motorcycle exhibition, and a vernacular theater evening were all part of this highly attended mid-August festival in lower Salento.

The 2025 festival in Scorrano

The 2025 edition of the Madonna della Luce and San Rocco Festival took place in Scorrano (Lecce) from Saturday, August 16, to Monday, August 18. The community gathered for the evening procession through the streets of the center and for celebrations in the Church of the Madonna della Luce, while Piazza Vittorio Emanuele hosted the civil events. As per tradition, the town was illuminated with its famous artistic light displays.

The musical program combined Salento folk music, with a concert by Antonio Amato, and more modern evenings like the Hit Mania 90 Salento Fest, in addition to the exhibition of vintage cars and motorcycles and a dialect theater evening organized by the Piccolo Teatro Scorranese. The organization was handled by the Madonna della Luce and San Rocco Festival Committee, with the participation of the town's young volunteers.
