Madonna della Lizza Festival

The 2025 edition of the Madonna della Lizza Festival animated Alezio from August 14 to 17, with a rich calendar blending sacred and secular elements. August 14 opened with a morning procession accompanied by the band and, in the evening, a solemn mass presided over by the bishop followed by the evening procession; late at night, music in Largo Fiera. On August 15, the day of the Assumption, masses were held in the sanctuary, followed by the opening of the Lizza Fair and band concerts by the Città di Rutigliano and Città di Conversano bands, with daytime fireworks.

On August 16, after the spectacular nightly firework display, the highlight was the free concert by Michele Zarrillo in Largo Fiera. The festival concluded on August 17 with La Lizza dei Bambini, the Pasta Maritata Festival, and a performance by the Salento folk music group I Calanti.
