Edition 2025 — Madonna della Libera
The 2025 edition
In 2025, the Madonna della Libera Festival confirmed its role as the most anticipated religious event in Mongiuffi Melia, in the province of Messina. Between May and July, the Sanctuary on Colle Mongilone was a destination for continuous pilgrimage, with the statue of the Virgin venerated until the first Sunday of July, the day of the solemn feast.
The Eucharistic celebrations and the Saturday evening procession, which wound through the surrounding countryside, involved the local community and numerous devotees in an atmosphere of deep participation that united the faith and popular traditions of the Ghiodaro Valley.
