Madonna della Grata Festival

The 2025 edition of the Madonna della Grata Festival took place on Sunday, August 3, the first Sunday of the month, confirming its nature as an austere rite deeply felt by the Ostuni community. The day opened with Eucharistic celebrations in the church of the Rosara district, culminating in the late afternoon with the procession of the Virgin's statue.

At 7:00 PM, the long procession departed from the sanctuary, winding through the countryside and the streets of the historic center. As per tradition, there were no festive lights, fireworks, or bands: only the choral singing of the faithful accompanied the journey, in an atmosphere of great reflection.

• 10:30 — Solemn Holy Mass at the Madonna della Grata sanctuary
• 19:00 — Candlelit procession with the statue of the Madonna from the Contrada Rosara sanctuary toward the historic center of Ostuni

Procession route: Via Giosuè Pinto, Largo Lanza, Corso Cavour, Piazza Matteotti, Corso Garibaldi, Via Cavallotti, Largo Bianchieri, Via Pignatelli, Piazza Italia, Via Vittorio Continelli, Largo Monsignor Pignatelli, Via Pepe, Via Giordano Bruno, Corso Ayroldi, Piazzetta Erriquez, Piazza Matteotti, Corso Cavour, Piazza della Libertà, and return to Via Giosuè Pinto.
