Madonna dell'Aiuto Festival 2025

In 2025, Torre San Giovanni renewed its most anticipated appointment with the Madonna dell'Aiuto, celebrated around the second Sunday of August (August 10). On Saturday, holy masses opened the festivities, followed in the evening by a procession through the town streets with the patron saint's statue.

On Sunday, the most evocative moment took place: the sea procession, with the statue embarked on a decorated fishing boat that sailed along the beaches of Ugento followed by a flotilla of boats, amidst the applause and songs of the faithful from the shore. In the evening, the brass band entertained the squares, artistic illuminations lit up the promenade, and grand fireworks closed the day on the fishing pier. There was no shortage of stalls with typical Salento dishes and local crafts.
