Madonna del Rosario Festival

In October 2025, the village of Montedoro, in the Province of Caltanissetta, celebrated the Madonna del Rosario Festival, its patron saint, with traditional rites passed down since the town's founding in 1635. The preparatory triduum, with the meditated Holy Rosary and Eucharistic celebrations, led to the main day on the first Sunday of the month.

After the Solemn Mass, the statue of Mary Most Holy of the Rosary was carried in procession on the traditional boat-shaped float, decorated with lights and flowers, along the streets of the historic center, accompanied by the brass band and the faithful with lit torches. The festival concluded with the serenade to Mary on the church square, the concert by the "Vincenzo Bellini" band, and the fireworks display, confirming the strength of a religious tradition deeply rooted in the Montedoro community.
