The festival of the Madonna del Monte Vivo returns every year on August 15th, and in 2025 it fell on a Friday, in the middle of the summer holidays. As is customary, the community of Piaggine (Province of Salerno, Campania) climbed to the mountain sanctuary for the pilgrimage, the Assumption services, and the long convivial break in the equipped picnic area surrounding the chapel.

The 2025 edition was part of the calendar of religious festivals in Piaggine that marks the village's summer: from the Madonna del Carmine in mid-July to the Madonna della Neve on Monte Cervati at the beginning of August, up to Santa Filomena in the second half of the month. A cycle of events that, together with local food festivals, keeps the bond between the village and its mountain alive.
