Madonna del Carmine Market

In 2025, Turi renewed its customary appointment with the Madonna del Carmine, celebrated on July 15th and 16th with religious rites and civil festivities. The market occupied the streets of the historic center with typical fair stalls, featuring artisanal products, sweets, toys, and devotional items.

The religious heart of the festival remained the procession of the statue kept at Santa Chiara and carried by the Purgatory Confraternity: from the departure towards the Mother Church to the return on the liturgical day of July 16th, with the moving passage through the square accompanied by the band. Illuminations, performances, and fireworks completed a festival that, year after year, unites the entire Turi community.
