Edition 2025 — Madonna del Carmine Borgagne

The 2025 edition of the Madonna del Carmine Festival took place on July 15th and 16th in Borgagne, a village in Melendugno. Following the vigil mass and the solemn procession with the image of the Virgin of Mount Carmel, the secular festivities organized by the Borgagne Festival Committee enlivened Piazza Madonna del Carmine with illuminations, a brass band, fireworks, and evenings of Salento folk music.

The 2025 edition was held on July 15th and 16th in Borgagne, in the Municipality of Melendugno (Lecce). On the evening of July 15th, the eve of the solemnity, the vigil mass was followed by the traditional procession with the image of the Virgin of Mount Carmel through the village streets.

At the end of the religious rites, the secular festivities organized by the Borgagne Festival Committee began. In Piazza Madonna del Carmine, at 9:30 PM, the "Balla Balla live tour" took place, an evening of Salento folk music with Gruppo Folk 2000 and Li Scianari. To complete the festival, there were illuminations, brass band concerts, and a fireworks display. The event, free and open to all, was part of the "Blu Festival" summer calendar of the Municipality of Melendugno.

July 15: Vigil mass and procession with the image of the Virgin of Mount Carmel; followed by 9:30 PM in Piazza Madonna del Carmine, "Balla Balla live tour" with Gruppo Folk 2000 and Li Scianari. July 16: Holy masses, brass band concerts, illuminations, and fireworks display.
