Madonna del Carmine Festival

The 2025 edition of the Madonna del Carmine Festival took place in Casoli (CH), in Abruzzo, with the usual program of religious and civil festivities in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel. The main celebration took place on July 16, 2025, the day dedicated to the Madonna del Carmine, while the festivities at the Sanctuary of the Carmine in the Colle Marco district were held in early August, with the traditional nighttime torchlight procession. However, on August 3, 2025, the civil program scheduled in the Colle Marco district was canceled due to adverse weather conditions: only the 7:00 PM religious service was maintained, confirming the primarily devotional nature of the festival. Despite the cancellation of the recreational part, the Casoli community renewed its bond with this ancient Marian tradition in 2025.
