Lungo le Antiche Rue – Roscetta Chestnut Festival

The 23rd edition of Lungo le Antiche Rue was held from October 17 to 19, 2025, in Civitella Roveto (AQ), confirming its status as one of the most charming food and wine festivals in Central Italy. The historic center of the village came alive with banquet tables, cellars, and markets along the ancient rue, celebrating the Roscetta Chestnut in every form: roasted, boiled, transformed into desserts, and paired with new red wine.

There was no shortage of truffle and mushroom-based products, traditional fritters, and jams, along with photo exhibitions, folk music, theatrical performances, and street entertainment featuring marching bands, jugglers, and acrobats. The event, organized by the Pro Loco with the Municipality of Civitella Roveto, attracted thousands of visitors to the Valle Roveto.
