The Lunatika Poetry Slam is a performance poetry series held in Rome, Lazio, hosted at Il Palco APS on Via Lavinio 1bis, just a stone's throw from the San Giovanni district. Born from the vision of Lunatika Factory—a creative collective dedicated to empowering female voices through music, poetry, and podcasts—the event showcases the poetry slam format: a competition where poets challenge one another by performing their own work, judged directly by the audience. Here, poetry leaves the page to become presence, voice, body, and rhythm.

The 2026 theme: "Broken Lines"

The third edition in 2026 is built around the theme "Broken Lines": life trajectories that break, deviate, and change course. These are not merely fractures, but moments of transformation and unexpected transitions that force us to reinvent ourselves and find new ways of expression. This is the common thread running through the season, interpreted in unique ways by every poet on stage.

Female voices and live sound

A hallmark of the series is its focus on the female voices of the Roman and national poetry scene, staying true to Lunatika Factory's mission. Each evening is accompanied by the live soundscapes of Corpoceleste, which weaves music and words in real-time, creating an immersive atmosphere that amplifies the power of the performance. The result is a collective experience of listening, participation, and dialogue, where the boundary between performer and audience fades with every passing night.

How it works

Doors typically open at 8:30 PM, with performances starting around 9:00 PM. The audience plays an active role in the competition: spectators cast their votes to decide who advances to the next round. Spanning from late winter to spring, the season turns Il Palco APS into a small laboratory of living language. Admission requires an ARCI membership card and a voluntary contribution, in the spirit of local cultural circles.
