About Lunaria
Contemporary Dance and Theatre in Lonato del Garda
Lunaria is the review dedicated to contemporary dance and theatre held at the Teatro del Tiracollo in Lonato del Garda, in the province of Brescia. The review is curated by the company Viandanze Teatro, which in 2017 transformed a 300-square-meter space on Via Mantova into a true theatre, now one of the most active cultural hubs in the Garda area.
A Season of Research
The program alternates contemporary dance shows, physical theatre, and new stage writing, featuring companies and choreographers exploring current themes. The 2025/2026 season, titled "stars for uncertain times," reflects Lunaria's commitment to examining the relationship with others and with contemporaneity through the language of the body and the stage.
More Than Just Shows
Alongside evening events, Lunaria offers workshops and in-depth sessions, often led by the artists featured on the program, allowing the audience to get closer to the work of contemporary theatre. The review is supported by the Municipality of Lonato del Garda and funded by the Circuito CLAPS and the Ministry of Culture, confirming the role of Teatro del Tiracollo as a cultural anchor for the region.
Lunaria — edition 2026
The 2025/2026 season of Lunaria, by Viandanze Teatro at the Teatro del Tiracollo in Lonato del Garda, is titled "stars for uncertain times." The opening features ARGUS, an emergency choreographic project by Giulia Spattini that explores the relationship with others in a historical period marked by fragility and urgency.
The review is supported by the Municipality of Lonato del Garda and funded by the Circuito CLAPS and the Ministry of Culture.
