Lugo Music Festival

The ninth edition of the Lugo Music Festival confirmed the winning formula of the festival directed by Matteo Penazzi. The opening, on Saturday, June 7, at the first light of day in Piazza Baracca, featured the Orchestra La Corelli conducted by Jacopo Rivani performing, with the Trio René, Beethoven's Triple Concerto. The program continued with the circus of the Compagnia Nando e Maila, the poetic concert for water and porcelain by Tomoko Sauvage, and the Great African Festival at Parco del Tondo, a free event with Togolese stilt walkers, workshops for children, and the Kora Hero Duo. The closing, on July 3 next to the ancient Pieve di Santa Maria in Fabriago, brought together European jazz masters Gabriele Mirabassi and Simone Zanchini in a program inspired by Latin American rhythms.
