Lucius Annaeus Seneca International Academic Prize for Contemporary Literature

The 2025 edition of the Seneca Prize took place on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 4:00 PM, in the setting of the Norman-Swabian Castle of Sannicandro di Bari. The event, organized by the Academy of Arts and Philosophical Sciences of Bari led by the writer and poet Maria Teresa Infante, saw the participation of Mayor Giuseppe Giannone and the Councilor for Culture Gianfranco Terzo of the Municipality of Sannicandro di Bari.

Among the awards presented were the Bronze Seneca for literature, the Minerva Prize for journalism, the Auriga Prize, and the De Brevitate Vitae Prize, with winners coming from countries such as Romania, Senegal, Kosovo, Peru, Ecuador, and Albania. Each winner received a personalized trophy and an academic parchment, confirming the international reach achieved by the event.
