Lucca Comics & Games 2025: The "French Kiss" Edition

The 2025 edition, scheduled from October 29 to November 2, featured the theme "French Kiss," a tribute to France as a symbol of European cultural diversity, with the poster designed by French illustrator Rébecca Dautremer. It was a record-breaking edition: approximately 280,000 tickets sold, over 17,000 professional accreditations, more than 900 guests, 730 exhibitors, 1,500 events, and 12 exhibitions.

On the TV series front, Netflix brought the exclusive preview of the fifth and final season of Stranger Things to Lucca, featuring creators Matt and Ross Duffer and part of the cast (Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp). The music stage hosted artists such as Caparezza, Max Pezzali, Omar Pedrini, Elio e le Storie Tese, The Bloody Beetroots, DJ Matrix, and Giorgio Vanni. Among the guests from the world of comics and manga were Tetsuo Hara (author of Fist of the North Star) and Akemi Takada, godmother of the new Japan Town area. The streets of Lucca's historic center were brought to life by over 30,000 official cosplayers.
