Edition 2025 — Locarno Asparagus Festival

The 29th edition of the Locarno Asparagus Festival in the village of Varallo (VC) was held from May 1 to May 4, 2025. The gastronomic event, organized by the Pro Loco Locarno, highlighted ancient local recipes featuring asparagus with four days of lunches and dinners in the heart of the Valsesia, confirming its status as one of the most popular spring festivals in the province of Vercelli.

The 29th Asparagus Festival took place in Locarno, a village of Varallo, from May 1 to May 4, 2025. The program included lunch and dinner on Thursday, May 1, dinner on Friday, May 2, lunch and dinner on Saturday, May 3, and the final lunch on Sunday, May 4.

In 2025, the absolute star was once again asparagus, prepared in traditional Valsesia and Piedmontese styles: from risottos to agnolotti, and from lasagne to asparagus with butter and Parmesan. The festival confirmed itself as a convivial event managed by the volunteers of the Pro Loco Locarno, capable of attracting visitors from all over the lower Valsesia and Upper Piedmont in a festive village atmosphere.
