Living Passion of Matino

In 2025, the 14th edition of the Living Passion of Matino renewed the Salento Holy Week appointment, attracting numerous spectators to the historic center of the town in the province of Lecce as it does every year.

The performance, promoted by the Joannes Paulus II Social Promotion Association with the patronage of the Municipality of Matino, followed the usual itinerant route: from the scenes of the Last Supper and the Garden of Olives, through the trial, the flagellation, and the ascent to Calvary, to the Crucifixion and Resurrection set on the eucalyptus hill. A collective effort that, involving actors, costume designers, makeup artists, and set designers, engages the entire Matino community every year.
