Living Nativity – Santa Maria Goretti Parish

The 2024-2025 edition of the Living Nativity of the Santa Maria Goretti Parish in Vittoria, in the province of Ragusa, took place between late December 2024 and the Epiphany of 2025. As per tradition, the parish committee set up the route in the spacious premises behind the church on Via Pietro Gentile.

Visitors walked through a reconstruction of the Bethlehem of two thousand years ago, among artisan workshops, scenes of daily life, and ancient trades, leading to the Nativity grotto. About a hundred costumed actors animated the scenes, accompanying the public to the sacred performance and the arrival of the Three Wise Men on horseback on January 6. At the end of the tour, a tasting of traditional local products was offered.
