Living Nativity of Specchia

The 16th edition

The sixteenth edition of the Living Nativity of Specchia took place on the evenings of December 25, 26, and 28, 2025, and January 1, 4, and 6, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Organized by the Lucrezia Amendolara Sports and Cultural Association with the Municipality of Specchia and the "Presentazione Beata Vergine Maria" Parish, the event transformed the historic center of the village, one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy, into an ancient Bethlehem.

The route featured 35 scenes animated by about 200 participants, with the reconstruction of ancient Salento crafts, the Roman legionary camp of the II Legio Augusta Association in Piazza del Popolo, and craft markets along Via Umberto I. The event concluded on January 6th, the day of Epiphany, with Vespers in the Mother Church, the procession, and the arrival of the Three Wise Men.
