Edition 2025 — Living Nativity Montallegro

The 18th edition of the Living Nativity of Montallegro took place on the evenings of December 26, 27, and 28, 2024, and January 3, 4, and 6, 2025, in Piazza Giovanni Paolo II and the town's historic center. Over a hundred performers brought the Nativity village to life with artisan workshops, ancient trades, a Christmas market, and a museum of rural life, featuring a wide selection of Sicilian gastronomic specialties.

The 18th edition (2024-2025)

The 2024-2025 edition of the Living Nativity of Montallegro once again featured the "village within a village" format, with about 120 performers of all ages engaged in workshops and sacred scenes along the route in the historic center, performed in the Sicilian dialect.

On December 26, the Holy Family departed from the Church of the Immaculate Conception towards the manger; on subsequent evenings, shepherds and the Three Wise Men came to adore the Messiah. Along the way, visitors were able to taste twelve different traditional dishes — from warm ricotta to legume soup, from focaccia to wine — as well as visit the Museum of Rural Life, the Christmas market, and the exhibition of handcrafted nativity scenes. The event, organized by the San Leonardo Parish with the patronage of the Municipality of Montallegro (AG), confirmed the success of previous editions, with attendance nearing eight thousand.
