Living Nativity of Castelluccio Valmaggiore

The inaugural evening of December 26, 2025 marked the return of the living nativity to Castelluccio Valmaggiore, in the heart of the Foggia Monti Dauni. From 6:00 PM, the medieval village transformed into a vast open-air nativity scene: along Via Salita Borgo and the alleys of the old town, costumed actors brought the Nativity scenes to life, among artisan workshops, fires, and lights. The event, promoted by the Pro Loco together with the parish of San Giovanni, was part of the town's Christmas calendar, accompanied by local gastronomic traditions such as pettole. The debut was met with great participation, marking the rebirth of a tradition dear to the community.
