Living Nativity of Castel Sant'Elia

The Living Nativity of Castel Sant'Elia returned on December 27 and 28, 2025, animating the pine forest of the Sanctuary of SS.ma Maria ad Rupes, in the province of Viterbo. Visitors were able to choose from three guided tours, at 3:30 PM, 5:00 PM, and 6:00 PM, to traverse the scenes of the Nativity amidst costumes, lights, and silence.

As in previous editions, an alternative panoramic route was also offered starting from the Basilica of Sant'Elia at 2:30 PM, available by reservation only. In case of rain, the event would have been postponed to January 3-4, 2026. The event, directed by Francesco Madonna, was organized by the Pro Loco with the support of the Lazio Region, with admission by voluntary donation.
