Living Nativity - Journey to Bethlehem

2025 Edition - Third edition

On December 27 and 28, 2025, Montagnareale hosted the third edition of the "Journey to Bethlehem" Living Nativity. The historic center of the Messina village was transformed into an evocative Bethlehem, with an itinerant route through stone alleys illuminated by lanterns and fires.

Over fifty performers, residents of the town, brought the Nativity scenes and ancient crafts to life, wearing meticulously detailed period costumes. The performance was accompanied by original music and dances, created specifically for the event. Admission was free with mandatory booking via Eventbrite and adherence to the assigned time slot.
